Having trouble deciding on what to wear on your next ski trip? Look no further as I have created the perfect and essential ski packing list.
Contrary to belief, what you wear on a regular winter day is going to look a lot different from what you wear on the slopes. Temperatures are a lot cooler when you are skiing therefore you need to find outfits that will keep you warm yet stylish.
BASE LAYERS
ARCTERYX Rho Zip Neck
Base layers are the first line of defence against the cold. They keep your body compact and warm. The best base layers feature highly breathable fabrics that allow excess heat to be released once you start to exercise.
FLEECE OR WOOL MID-LAYER
Women’s Burton Baker High Loft™ Quarter-Zip Fleece
Fleece sweaters are very popular nowadays for that mid-layer. The fabric choice is very important when choosing this layer, many people choose fleece and wool. In my opinion, fleece is the better option because it’s more comfortable than wool – better breathability.
SKI PANTS
Women’s Snoga Pants
When choosing the right pair of snow pants you want a pair that is durable with a sleek waterproof fabric. It’s also important to go up a size because you don’t want to cut off your circulation with a pair that’s too tight. You want your ski pants to fit comfortably over your other layers as well as the top of your ski boots.
SKI JACKET
MONTEC Black Ski Jacket
Trying to find a ski jacket is probably the hardest part because it’s the most expensive. I recommend buying one in a solid colour that you can wear for your everyday life so you can double it up as a winter jacket. Windproof and waterproof jackets are non-negotiable when buying because it keeps the snow from flying up your coat!
